Jonathon Dewitt Mooney, 46, of Ripley passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Baptist Hospital Tipton. Visitation will begin at 12 PM Saturday at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley with funeral services to follow at 2 PM. Interment will be in Mary’s Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Mooney was a teacher at Crestview Middle School in Covington. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Covington. He is survived by a sister Sherry Mooney of Ripley; three brothers Ray Howell, Jerry Mooney, and Randy Mooney all of Ripley and his aunt Molly Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Nancy Mooney.
