Thomas G. “Romie” Wilemon, 91, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice in Tupelo. He was born February 13, 1931 to the late James Leonard Wilemon and the late Effie Mae Gann Wilemon. He retired from Dura-Containers after many years of service. He was a Deacon of Pine Grove Church of Christ and member there for over 50 years. He loved to laugh and loved his breakfast. He loved his family and wherever you seen Dorothy you seen Romie. They were married for 71 years of a wonderful marriage. He was a western movie and TV show expert on ME channel.
Services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday January 4, 2023, at Senter Funeral Home with Ministers Tim Howard, Mark Neaves, and Dennis Doughty officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be at Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wilemon of Fulton; children: Kathy (Dennis) Doughty of Robinsville, Karen Collum of Fulton, Keith (Karen) Wilemon of Hartselle, AL; Grandchildren: Jill (Neal) Myers, Kandace (Dave) Ferguson, Jace (Tiffany) Wilemon, Shae Collum, Seth (Tiffany) Collum, Cade Wilemon; great-grandchildren: T.J. Plunk, Gunner Collum, Avery Collum, Dixie Collum, Sophia Ferguson, Baylor Collum, Samuel Ferguson, Casen Wilemon, Whitley Wilemon; special friends: James (Cathy) Neaves, Jimmy (Deborah) Franks, Judy Engle.
Preceded in death by parents, brothers: Lincell Wilemon, Russell Wilemon, J.V. Wilemon, Charlie Wilemon; sisters: Berma Dulaney, Erma West; Son-in-law, John Collum
Pallbearers are Jace Wilemon, Shae Collum, Seth Collum, Cade Wilemon, T.J. Plunk, Dave Ferguson
