Thomas Frederick Tarbox, 64, of Huntsville passed away January 13, 2024. Tommy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, into an Army family that traveled the world, including Okinawa, Germany and Iran and eventually settled in Huntsville, Alabama. He moved to Lawrenceburg, TN when he married his wife, Susie. He was a born salesman and started his career as a young child selling rocks door-to-door, and he eventually transitioned into a long career in car sales. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing, playing poker and telling jokes. He frequently called family members and friends just to tell them a dad joke.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Cherrie “Susie” Tarbox; daughters, Sarah Tarbox and Jaime Dunn (Wesley): son, Joey Tarbox; stepsons, Dylan Stephens and Clifton Stephens; mother, Susan Tarbox; brother, Gerald Tarbox (Debbye); sisters, Nancy White (Andrew), Gail Sikes (Hank) and Merilind Duggan (Paul); granddaughters, Merritt and Magnolia Dunn; many nieces and nephews; as well as 2 great-nieces. He was predeceased by his father, Irving Tarbox.
Tommy’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 28, at 1PM at 4525 Colewood Circle, Huntsville, Alabama 35802.
