Tommy was born on December 27, 1955 in Jackson to the late Thomas Frederick Moore, Sr. and Joan Lovett Moore. Tommy attended South Side High School. He joined The United States Air Force in 1973. Tommy had three great loves, his family, his country, and his Lord. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed this pastime with his wife and friends.
Tommy could build anything, he built countless remote control airplanes, cars, drones, and boats. His other passion was photography.
Tommy had a smile that could light up a room, and he never met a stranger. He was loved by all that knew him. He will be missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joyce Jernigan Moore; daughter Nikki Moore Winchester; son Thomas Frederick Moore,III (Courtney); five grandchildren, one great grandson, and one great grandchild due in June. He is also survived by his brothers, Billy Moore and Tony Moore; and a sister Sheila Castleman.
Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be conducted on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Bro. Mark Wade, pastor of East Union Baptist Church will officiate the service. Burial will follow with military honors in Ridgecrest Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends and loved ones at 11:00 am, two hours prior to the service.
