Thomas Franklin Reese, 65, resident of Hickory Flat, passed away peacefully August 23, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany. The family has planned a private memorial service for a later date.
Mr. Reese was born October 23, 1958, in Harris, KY, the son of the late Frederick William and Laura Judy Reese. He was a graduate of St. Andrew Sewanee School in Sewanee, TN and continued his education at the University of Mississippi earning his degree in Computer Science Engineering. Mr. Reese proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Project Manager in the Department of Defense for 30 years before retiring 13 years ago.
A Christian, Mr. Reese lived and traveled to many places that included Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee and California due to his father being a minister. Mr. Reese enjoyed wood working, hiking, camping, video games, fishing and Westerns, especially John Wayne movies. A family man, he loved sharing quality time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Memories will continue to be shared by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Reese, one daughter, Laura Reese Cashion (Andrew) of Fall Brook, CO, one son, William Reese of Castzo Valley, CA, one sister, Barbara Miller of Spring, TX and four grandchildren, Jackson, Oliver, Robert and Brooke Cashion all of Fall Brook, CA
