  F.2.3.23 Thomas Smith.jpg “The” Thomas Eugene Smith “Tommy,” 73, of Muscle Shoals, passed away peacefully in his home on January 31, 2023, surrounded by his children, because “all his ex’s lives in Texas.”

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam war from November 1968 to November 1974 as an Aircraft Fuel Technician. Tommy lived life to the fullest. He was an avid Alabama football fan, Entertainer, Host, friend, and above all he was a loving father who cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

As a contractor for nearly 50 years, Tommy served his community and industry with skill and personality that will be truly missed but never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Eugene Smith and Mary Virginia Smith and brother, Frankie Smith.

He is survived by his son, Tommy Smith, Jr. (Svea); daughters, Sammie Sheldon (Brent), Tamara Schultz, and Stephanie Veesey (Gary); sister, Sharon Voysey; grandchildren, Sabrina Haribson, Shea Schultz, Xurik Schultz, Zachary Sheldon, Nicholas Sheldon, Spencer Healy, and Vincent Smith; great-grandchildren, Juliette Haribson and Stella Haribson, and beloved friends, Billy and Sandra Holly.

Services will be held at Colbert Memorial Chapel, 700 Highway 43-S, Tuscumbia, AL on February 4th 2023, Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
