Thomas Emory Thornton, age 87, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Mr. Thornton was born on October 4, 1937. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruth Thornton; son, Joey Thornton; parents, AG Thornton, Sr., and Lena Lawson Thornton; brothers, AG Thornton, Jr., Ralph Thornton, and sister, Jean Keef.
He is survived by his sons, Tim (Marsha) and Shannon (Renee); and grandchildren, Kyler, Taylor (Sawyer), Case, Anna and Foster.
The family will hold a private memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Tom to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Cerebral Palsy Center.
