Mr. Thomas Earl Denton, age 72, of Florence, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013. A memorial service for Mr. Denton will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Andy Sullivan officiating on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 10 a.m. His family will receive friends for visitation one hour before the service.
Thomas was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Thomas worked for Ford Motor Co. for 16 years. He retired from Saginaw after 10 years of loyal service.
He is survived by his wife of 46 wonderful years, Mary Triplett Denton, of Florence, Ala.; son, Komarvo S. Denton (Kim), of Florence, Ala.; daughter, Keiaire Denton Tate, of Cordova, Tenn.; one brother-in-law, of Madison, Tenn.; three brothers-in-law, of Colbert County, Ala.; one sister-in-law, of Madison, Tenn.; three sisters-in-law, of Colbert County, Ala.; granddaughter, Kia Denton; and a host of special friends, relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a godson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1111 E. College St., Florence, AL 35630.
