Thomas Dwight Baugher, 77, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Baugher was born on May 25th, 1947, in Athens, Alabama, to James and Beulah (Phipps) Baugher.
Mr. Baugher is survived by his wife Barbara Baugher; daughters Terri Baugher Hill (Shannon) and Michelle Baugher Moore (Jason); son Matthew Baugher (Angelynne); grandchildren Tori Moore Harrison (Hayden) Elijah Moore (Kat), Brady Hill (Natalee Barnett), Maleia Baugher, and Layla Baugher, and M.J. Baugher; great-grandchildren Hank Harrison and Silas Moore; and brothers Anthony Baugher, John Baugher (Cathy), and Timmy Baugher (Mary).
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Beulah Baugher; and sister Linda Baugher.
Funeral services for Mr. Baugher will be Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church, with Jason Moore and Matthew Baugher officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00-2:45 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Justin Baugher, Hayden Harrison, Brady Hill, Shannon Hill, Elijah Moore, and Bill White. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Phillips, Brad Baugher, and his men’s Sunday school class. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and there was a former deacon and Sunday school director and teacher. He retired from Delphi Automotive and retired a second time from Limestone school system.
