Thomas Dale Pettie,79, of Corinth, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi. Mr. Pettie was born Saturday, March 11, 1944 to the late Tom and Mary Belle Crews Pettie. Mr. Pettie was a graduate of Biggersville High School, class of 1964. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Corinth, Mississippi since 1990. Mr. Pettie was a lifelong collector of anything antique, cars, furniture, and wooden boxes. He was an avid reader, a people person, a prankster, but overall a very loving and compassionate man.

Thomas was preceded into death by his parents; a brother Woodrow Pettie; a sister Peggy Pettie French and her husband William French.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 56 years, Caroline Pettie; a brother-in-law, David Phillips (Rheba); three sister-in-laws, Lois Holland, Vivian Jones, and Sue Ross; his beloved Chihuahua “Cujo” and a host of friends and extended family.

There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service held in his honor on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Corinth, Mississippi beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon with Bro. John Garrott officiating. The family will accept friends beginning at eleven o’clock in the morning until service time. McPeters Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The First United Methodist Church or the Amen Food Pantry.
