Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Brown Amis, age 91, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 14 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery.
Mr. Amis passed away early Thursday in Lexington. He was born November 10, 1923 in Henderson County to the late William Brown and Mallie Palmer Amis. He drove a school bus for Henderson County School System for 40 years,was a farmer, and former chairman of the ASCS Committee of Henderson County. He was an active member of Shady Grove Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran, serving in World War II.
He is survived by his son; Tommy Amis (Rita) and two grandchildren; Christy and Tim Amis, all of Huron. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Eva Mae Usery Amis; four sisters, Alice Bond, Mary Stinson, Martha Amis, and Julia Mae Crisco; and a brother, William Miller.
