Thomas "Black Superman" Armstead Thomas “Black Superman” Armstead, 52, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024. Visitation will be Friday, January 19, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Saturday, January 20, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Todd Wilson officiating. The family requests that you dress to impress. Interment will be at Ramsey Cemetery, Russellville, AL.

Thomas was a native of Florence and spent several years in Syracuse, NY before returning to the Shoals. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, who loved life. He was strong and determined in his fight, an overcomer. Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter, Tatyana Armstead; parents, J.T. Russell and Marilyn Landers; and grandmother, Mary Martin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elisa Armstead; children, Akira Armstead, Cara Armstead, Marcel Armstead, Freddy Rider, and Eli Agee; brothers, Mustafa Landers and Devon Avery Landers; sisters, Aishia Landers and Kyanna Landers; 1 grandson; uncle, Leonard Armstead; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Greg Smith, Chris Hill, Fred Tankersley, Glenn Bell, Cody McDougle, Kyle Chase, and Leonard Armstead.
