Thomas A. Norris, 81 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Norris was born on October 27th, 1942, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Clifford and Roberta Bobo Norris.
Mr. Norris is survived by his stepsons Harold Adamson (Barbara), of Jacksonville, Florida, Michael Adamson, of San Diego, California, and Joseph Lowery (Mary), of Huntsville, Alabama.
Nine grandchildren, Mike Adamson, Donna Adamson Chitty, John Adamson, Michael Adamson, Manning Adamson, Jewel Adamson, Eric Lowery, Alec Lowery, and Owen Lowery as well as many great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Doris K. Norris; brother Ben Norris; and stepson Eric A. Lowery.
Funeral services for Mr. Norris will be Friday, December 29th, 2023, at 11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with David Jones officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00-10:50am, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forrest Homes Cemetery in Boaz, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Alec Lowery, Eric Lowery, Owen Lowery, John Adamson, Christopher Adamson, and Greg Brazwell.
Mr. Norris enjoyed the outdoors going hunting and fishing and was an avid Alabama football fan. He loved to just sit at home with his wife Doris and watch old Westerns and Wheel of Fortune with her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Disabled Veterans.
