Dale “Homie” Parker, 87 of Union Grove passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Parker was born November 10, 1931 in Marshall County to Willie Parker and Martha Cox Parker. He grew up in the Summit Community of Blount County. He was married to Lena Rivers Bond for 63 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years and later retired from Redstone Arsenal. Mr. Parker enjoyed working on tractors, traveling and having shade tree conversations with his friends and family.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife of 63 years: Lena Rivers Bond-Parker, his children and in-laws: Michael Parker and Evelyn, Phillip Parker, Polly Thomas and Donnie, Patsy Nappier and Anthony, Pam Brown and Gary, Jackie Davis and Dani Jo. His grandchildren: Michelle and Joey, Shanna, Jason, Jesse, Sam, Matt, Willie, Bridgett and Lauren. Great Grandchildren: Logan, Zach, Jaccy, Alison, Parker Grace, Lola, Bradyn, Aubrey, Abigail, Trey, Carson, Kylie Rae and Kelsie and great great grandchild: Darcy-Kal.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday October 7, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother Josh Garmany, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove First Baptist Church Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Joey Hubble, Jason Thomas, Sam Davis, Jesse Davis, Willie Parker and Matt Brown.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday October 7, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
