Mrs. Theresa Lee Gullion, age 55, of Somerville, AL passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital. Theresa was born November 27, 1967 in Arab, Alabama. Her parents were J.C. Marlar and Jackie Abercrombie Marlar. She was married to Gwendel Ray Gullion. Theresa was of the Baptist faith and attended Pines Missionary Baptist Church in Somerville, AL.
Theresa was a remarkable lady never allowing her physical disabilities to keep her down. She had many interest most of which centered on her family. She would be getting them together for meals or maybe to play a few games of Rook. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, thrift shopping, flower arranging, western shows on TV and her pets. Theresa had a strong spirit and could be pretty stubborn. She loved and was loved. She will be missed.
Theresa is survived by her husband, Ray Gullion; son, Adam Gullion; and sister, Tara Marlar.
Preceding her in death are her parents J.C. and Jackie Marlar; infant son, Joshua Ray Gullion; and brother, Jay Marlar.
A visitation and service to honor Theresa has been planned. The visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2023 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. The graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, June 15, 2023 at Pines Cemetery in Morgan County at 2:00 p.m. officiating the services will be Billy Jo Marlar.
Pallbearers will be Adam Gullion, Ray Gullion, Mark McAnally, Steve McAnally, Wally Steelman, and Rocky Knighten.
