Mrs. Theresa Ann Griffin, age 50, of Arab, Alabama (formerly of Morgan City) passed away peacefully at her home on July 30, 2023. Mrs. Griffin was born on August 16, 1972 to James Brenon Hallmark and Mary Ruth Seagroves Hallmark in Marshall County, AL. She and her husband, James Gregory Griffin had been married for 27 years. Theresa was a painter by trade, specializing in residential and commercial painting. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Theresa was a lady with many interest and hobbies but her husband, children and grandchildren were always put first. Theresa enjoyed her job of painting, she loved to create beautiful floral arrangements, and worked diligently in maintaining her lawn. Theresa enjoyed and celebrated most holidays and especially loved decorating for Christmas. She could also play a mean game of softball.
Family left behind to cherish memories of Theresa include her husband, Greg Griffin; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher “Chris” and Jessica Hallmark and Michael and Hannah Hallmark; brothers, Ray Hallmark (Tina) and Tony Hallmark (Tammy); grandchildren, Walker Hallmark, Brenon Hallmark, Adalaide Hallmark and Sam Lyons.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Ruth Hallmark and her brother, Danny Hallmark.
Services for Theresa will be Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 4:00 p.m. Brother Cody Kritner will be officiating. Interment will take place in Pine Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derek Hallmark, Erek Hallmark, Michael Burgett, Dustin McElroy, Issac Kritner and Robby Dukeminier.
