Military graveside services for Mr. Theodore Victor Vandeberghe, age 90, will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 27, 2023 in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 PM until 4 PM at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt, TN.
Mr. Vandeberghe passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at his home. He was a retired Senior Chief in the US Navy, an accountant for the IRS, controller for Methodist Healthcare and member of the Brownsville Rotary Club. He loved farm animals especially horses and spent his spare time fishing, duck hunting, gardening and raising Arabian horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Lois Othelia Barnick Vandeberghe; and a sister, Mary Leifert.
Mr. Vandeberghe is survived by his wife, Evelyn Vandeberghe; three daughters, Karen Gail Vandeberghe Mueller (Arthur) of Victoria, TX, Toni Irene Vandeberghe-Lansdale (Jeff) of Humboldt and Vicki Anne Vandeberghe-Pate (Jerry) of Jackson; five grandchildren, Mark Mueller, Jennifer Mueller-Marrs, Victoria Lansdale-Graves, JuliaAnne Lansdale and John Pate; and two great grandchildren, Katlynn Marr and Garrett Marr; a sister, Virginia Rode of Jud, ND; and a brother, William Vandeberghe of Omaha, NE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to theĀ Wounded Warrior Project.
