Theodore “Ted” Hart
Ted Hart, 60, crossed into the arms of his Savior on September 4, 2013 after a long battle with MS. Ted was born June 17, 1953, in Lodi, Ohio to Nelson “Ted” Hart and the late Theresa Hart Norris. He was diagnosed with MS at the age of 22 and fought it with everything he had. Ted’s best quality was his sense of humor and his greatest joy was his wife, children, and grandchildren. Everyone that has ever met Ted remembers his big smile. He loved his family and friends, especially his Friendship Church Life Group the Cocoons, and was happiest when he was surrounded by people. Ted spent the last 15 months of his life as a resident of Athens Rehab and Senior Care cheering up other residents and bringing smiles to staff members who cared for him. Ted always had a smile and never complained. He was affectionately known as the “Mayor of Friendship Church” and was loved by many, including the children who he gave rides on his wheelchair.
