Theo Kelley, Waynesboro, TNMrs. Theo Shann Kelley, a long time native of Wayne County, was born July 11, 1924 in Lewis County , TN to the union of the late Walter and Bessie Galloway Shann. She was united in marriage to Guy Hughes Kelley on December 20, 1941. Mr. Kelley preceded her in death on June 12, 1988. Mrs. Kelley will be fondly remember for her 60 plus years of service at Kelley’s Foodtown, now known as Piggly Wiggly. She was a member of Waynesboro First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Kelley departed this life on February 23, 2022 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 97 Years, 7 Months and 12 Days.

She is survived by a daughter, Nona Faye Kelley Byrd and husband Jim of Waynesboro, TN; a special sister-in-law, Rosetta Shann and niece, Elaine Shann Helton and husband Herbert, all of Goodlettsville, TN. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kelley Byrd Deason, James Michael Byrd and wife Chastity Byrd; four great grandchildren, Allyson Dixon, Carly Rich, Alex Byrd, Brooklyn Byrd and one great-great grandchild, Asher Caperton.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by a sister, Carmanell Shann; two brothers, Paul Shann, Ostien Shann;

Services will be held on Saturday February 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, with Adam Rush officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors Assisting.

Those honored to serve as pallbearer will include: Michael Byrd, Alex Byrd, John Daniel, Herbert Helton, Richard Kelley and Eddie Kelley.
Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearer will include her former co-workers throughout her years at the grocery store.
