Thelma Ilene Horton Williams Profile Photo Thelma Ilene Horton Williams, of Cullman, Alabama, was surrounded by her loving family as she entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father on July 6, 2024. Thelma was 88 years old.

Ms. Williams was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on December 22, 1935, to Art and Gracie Ilene Scott Horton. Thelma was a member of Center Point Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshipping with her family and friends. Ms. Williams was a hard worker. She and her husband, Ben, raised poultry for many years. Thelma loved to quilt, and she always had a garden. Thelma enjoyed canning her vegetables. Ms. Thelma was a loving and loyal wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her family, and no one will ever fill the place she held in their hearts. She was loved greatly and will be missed even more so.

Ms. Williams is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben Williams; son, Joseph Wayne Williams; grandson, Jason Howard; great-granddaughter; Brooklyn Williams; and her all of her siblings.

Those surviving Thelma includes her children, Mark Allen Williams (Suzette), Debra Ann Howard (Mark), Teresa Dunn (Jon); grandchildren, Tracey Stephens (Tony), Heath Williams (Amanda), Austin Williams, Tiffany Chambers, Matt Calvert, Wesley Cummings (Lera); great-grandchildren, Brody Howard, Emma Howard, Kaitlyn Walton (Brett), Erin Rowell (Austin), Michael Chambers, Emma Wooten, Maleah Chambers, Makenzie Williams, Olivia Williams, Madison Cummings, Corey Cummings, Madison Calvert, Eva Calvert; great-great-grandchildren, Lawson Rowell, Luke Rowell, Lily Rowell, Levi Rowell, Mia Johnson, Zayden Johnson, and Nevaeh Cummings; as well as a large host of nieces and nephews, family, friends, and neighbors.

Funeral services for Ms. Thelma are 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Center Point Baptist Church, Brother Josh Drake and Brother Mike Hill officiating. Friends are invited to join the family, at the church, for a time of visitation on Wednesday prior to services. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will conclude when services begin. Ms. Thelma will be laid to rest, following services, in the adjoining cemetery where Heath Williams, Landon Hunter, Brody Howard, Matt Calvert, Adam Farr, and Jason Smith will serve as pallbearers.
