The Rising Crust: A Restaurant Review

I had heard about this place called the Rising Crust for some time but have never had an opportunity to eat there.  Recently we had some friends invite us to go there.  We met them there at 5:30 PM on a Saturday afternoon.  Walking into the restaurant, we observed that it was clean and well set-up.  I would say there were approximately 20 tables in the restaurant.

We were quickly seated and our drinks were brought.  Looking over the menu, we observed that there were several different aspects of food to choose from.  Of course, they have pizza.  However, the menu showed Lasagna, Spaghetti and Sandwiches, was as Calzones.

My guest got the Lasagna for their entrée.  I got a Pepperoni Pizza for myself.  Our friends got a Pizza also.  The food came very quickly.  My pizza was thin crust and well done just like I like it.  It was cooked just right.  It had a hint of Garlic but it was not over powering.  The crust was thin and very crispy.  Our friends seemed to enjoy their Pizza.

Now let’s talk about the Lasagna.  I love Lasagna if it is thick with meat and cheese.  I hate runny Lasagna.  The Lasagna at the Rising Crust is not runny and it is very good.  The Menu stated it was made with Italian Sausage, Beef and Red Onion Chips.  I tried my guest’s Lasagna and I have to say it was very good.  It has a hearty taste with nothing being over powering.  For me, I did not care for the Red Onion Chips but that is personal preference.

The Restaurant quickly filled up.  They had live music starting at 7:00 PM.    I have to say that I am very impressed with the Rising Crust.  The atmosphere was laid back.  It was very clean.  The service was quick.  I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.  I would rate it 4 cheese sticks out of 5.

As I am typing this, I realize I am hungry.  Think I will go get some Pizza at the Rising Crust.
