I have been hearing about the Pie Factory in Florence for some time. However, I have never gotten a chance to go there until recently. My guest and I went on a Wednesday afternoon. I really didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Walking into the Restaurant, we were seated promptly. Grabbing a menu, we looked for what we wanted.
As we looked over the menu, I saw several waitresses come by with hot pizza for other customers. They all looked so good. We decided on a Hawaiian Pizza which was 5 types of Cheese, Pineapple and we had to put some Pepperoni on it. Our order was taken and I continued to look over the menu. The menu shows various pizzas or you can make your own.
Our order came and I have to tell you the aroma off the pizza was overwhelming. It looked so good. I would classify the size as between a medium and a large pizza. There was one piece left after my guest and I ate. It was just the right size for two people.
Now, let’s talk about the pizza itself. It had plenty of toppings. The crust, ahh, the crust. I like thin and crispy pizza. I can handle a thicker crust but I don’t care for a real doughy crust. I would say the crust at the Pie Factory is slightly more than thin and crispy but not thick. It is just right. I loved it.
There was a pretty good crowd for a Wednesday afternoon. Several people sat at the bar enjoying adult beverages. Most of the booths were filled. There was a mixture of adults and kids enjoying the food there. So the next time you have a hankering for pizza, try the Pie Factory. I am going to rate it 4 cheese sticks out of 5.
Dang, now that I have written this article, I’m hungry. Think I will go to the Pie Factory.
