Usually we get trucking cases fairly soon after the accident but not as soon as an automobile accident simply because the injuries are often catastrophic and catastrophic injuries require family members to take care of the person hurt.
It is absolutely vital for an attorney to quickly send a letter requiring the trucking company to retain all documents relating to the driver and the accident. Often a download of the “black box” on the truck can prove speeding or late breaking. If this letter is not sent and enough time passes by the trucking company doesn’t have to retain some of these documents or they may get “lost”.
