HARTSELLE-The Depot Days Festival rolls into Hartselle September 18, 2021, bringing a day of family-friendly fun and entertainment to the historic depot and downtown area. Presented by Decatur Morgan Hospital and hosted by the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce, the free event is a tribute to the railroad industry and its contribution to Hartselle and the North Alabama region. In addition to the one-day celebration, there are several activities planned leading up to the event.
Now in its 40th year, the Depot Days Festival gets underway on September 18 at 8 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. Over 100 vendors, including food, crafts and art, will be participating for festivalgoers to shop among. As festivalgoers shop, music will fill the air with performances by Hartselle High School choir, Brick Avenue, Mike Walker & Friends and Tri County Grass. Additional activities include a car, truck and motorcycle show; skit performance by the College Street Players; a tractor and engine show; a beer garden for those 21 years old and up and two children’s areas with carnival rides, games and trivia.
Additional activities leading up to the festival for the public to take part in include a community-wide worship service at the historic Hartselle Camp Meeting Tabernacle at 6 p.m., September 12; the Down Memory Lane program at Hartselle Church of Christ at 6 p.m., September 13; Youth Glow Night on Railroad Street on September 15 and a community-wide pep rally at Hartselle High School at 6 p.m., September 16.
