Terry Raymond HickmanTerry Raymond Hickman passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024 at NHC Healthcare, Pulaski,
Tennessee. He was born in Pulaski on August 2, 1942 and was 82 years old.

Terry was a lifelong resident of Pulaski and attended Giles County High School where he was a standout
member of the GCHS Football Team. He had a hard work ethic and started Terry Hickman Distributing in
1972and sold the business in 1996. During these years he sponsored and was active with several men’s
softball teams in Giles County. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and owned a World Champion
Coon Dog name “Slim”. He loved horses and had countless dogs over the years. He was always up for a
good prank and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh and to know him was
to love him. For many years, Terry enjoyed entertaining during weekends at the river with family and
friends, loved boating and grilled an amazing steak. He was loved dearly by his children, grandchildren,
his dog Mickey, and his wife, Elaine, who was the absolute love of his life for 63 very short years.

After selling his business in 1996, Terry drove a school bus for children with disabilities for a number of
years. He had a heart for children and was known for his countless acts of kindness to those less
fortunate.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm. The memorial
service will follow at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Bennett May & Pierce Funeral
Home with Jeff Jenkins officiating.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond Hickman and Lillian Parsons Hickman Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Christopher Hickman of Pulaski, Tennessee. Daughter, Christi Hickman
(Scott) Schantz of Hastings, Michigan, sons Jonathan Todd (Heather) Hickman of Thompson’s Station,
Tennessee and Jeffrey Trent Hickman of Salida, Colorado, Grandchildren, Christopher Dale (Crissinda)
Johns, Spencer Mazie Hickman (Jack) Herrington, Griffin Carter (Grace) Hickman, Mazie Jane Hickman
and Holt Hickman. Five great grandchildren, Maddox Johns, Lila Johns, Hattie Johns, Beckett Hickman
and Blaire Hickman. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Hickman of Tullahoma, Tennessee. Several
nieces and nephews also survive. ln lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Giles County
Public Library or the Pulaski Boys and Girls Club.
