Mr. Terry Ray Sherwood, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Lexington. He was born March 30, 1963 in Peoria, IL to the late Lloyd and Mary Hopkins Sherwood. He was a former Truck Driver for Arrow Paving and loved putting together model cars, flying gas powered airplanes, and all sorts of racing. He loved his family dearly. Survivors include his son, Tommy Scott; his daughters, Tammy Hopper (Jamie) and Rachel Sherwood; two sisters, Aletha Kelley (Glenn) and Pat Vandergriff; four grandchildren, Brittany James (Ray), Megan Powers, Joseph Powers, and Tommy Scott (Paige); two great grandchildren, Jenna V. Holmes and Layla Rose Powers; and his special pets, Peanut and Asia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Diane Renfroe Sherwood; one brother, Clinton Sherwood and one sister, Christine Moffitt.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Beech River Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, 4 – 9 PM and on Saturday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
