Terry Ray “Papa 8“ Smith, age 58, Russellville, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Helen Keller Hospital
The visitation will be from 10-11 am Monday, May 20, 2013 at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, Alabama 1 hour prior to the 11 am funeral service in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Philip Kimbrough officiating. Interment will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Graham, Lanny Hargrove, James N. Odom, Brandon Wood, Ronald Odom, and Timmy Odom; honorary pallbearers will be Rudy Dale Smith and Ricky Kimbrough.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Harold Smith; grandparents, Raymond and Mary Smith, Kitty Odom McCollum; nephew, John Wood.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Judy Suggs Smith; daughters, Jada Smith (Aaron Keith) Lindsey, Nesha Smith, and Kortnee Smith Loveless; mother, Imogene “Jean” Odom Smith; sister, Mary Leigh (Johnny) Wood; brother, Raymond Hugh Smith; 3 grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Peyton Loveless, Madlynne Loveless, Ryder Loveless; nephew, Brandon Wood; his dog, Booboo; numerous friends.
He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
