Terry Mangrum, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 3, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born on March 5, 1959, in Adrian, Michigan, Terry was the daughter of the late William Threet and Virginia Barber. From her earliest days, Terry had a deep connection to nature. She cherished the simple joys of being outdoors, whether it was wading in the creek and collecting rocks or tending to her beloved flowers. Terry possessed a remarkable green thumb and had an extraordinary ability to nurture plants back to life, a talent that brought life and vibrancy to her surroundings.
Terry’s generosity knew no bounds, especially during the holiday season. Regardless of the occasion, her family could always count on receiving a bag of candy and gifts from Terry. Her love for giving was a testament to her kind and giving spirit, which touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Among the many loves in her life, Terry had a special place in her heart for her loyal companion, Chance, her cherished pup and furbaby. She doted on Chance, treating him with the same love and care that she showered upon her husband, children, and grandchildren.
One of Terry’s simple pleasures in life was enjoying a refreshing McDonald’s sweet tea, a drink she relished with unmatched enthusiasm. Her visits to the fast-food chain would often include a happy meal for Chance, a ritual that encapsulated her boundless love and thoughtfulness.
Terry Mangrum’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and a passion for the simple joys of life. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
