Terry Lynn Holley Waldo, 76, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House-Tupelo, MS. Terry was born on April 29, 1947, in Pontotoc, MS to John Doyle and Helen M. Mooneyham Holley. Like most women her age she grew up picking cotton, sewing and cooking, which she did without complaining. Humility was a large part of Terry’s beauty. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, reading books, and her porch but her family was her biggest blessing. Terry’s life was a testament of love, devotion, and generosity.
Survivors include her children, Johnny Taylor (Cindy), Scott Taylor (Weesie) both of Randolph; her stepdaughter, Angela Waldo; her grandchildren, Kayla Stewart, William “Wade” Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Charles Kidd, Katirena Taylor, Renee Tackitt, and Jamie Taylor; step grandchildren, Cherish Enis and Kayla Fuentes; 27 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Johnnie Jones (Shorty) of Pontotoc, MS and Cathy Boone (Daniel) of Okolona, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Waldo; her son, William “Tate” Taylor; granddaughter, Bryleigh Taylor; her parents; and her brothers, Joey Holley, Richard Holley, and Harold Holley.
A private family memorial service will be held.
