Terry Lynn Cox, age 64, passed away December 12, 2023 after a sudden illness. He was born in Tupelo on September 5, 1959 to E. W. Cox and Gladys Taylor Cox Welch. He worked for CED for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed watching football and before his health failed, he played softball and ran the Gumtree 10K.
Terry leaves behind two sisters, Pam Keith and Jo Harbor; two brothers, Jimmy Cox and Gerald Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ray and Billy Jarvis, Larry Taylor, and Everett Cox; two nieces, Misty Cox and Shelley Goolsby; and a nephew, Joey Jarvis.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Pegues, Tupelo
Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Bro. Mike Brazeal officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
