Terry Lee Ethridge, age 65, lost his long battle with cancer on Monday, March 11, 2024. He was born in Tampa, Florida on December 29, 1958 to Horace and Wanda Keeling Ethridge. He attended Paragould High School where he graduated in 1977. Terry then joined the U.S. Army where he served as Military Police in Panama City, Panama. He lived in Paragould, Arkansas for 30 years until he moved to Belden where lived out the rest of his life. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2017, he retired. During the time he lived in Mississippi, he evangelized until becoming pastor of Sherman Apostolic Tabernacle where he remained until his health declined. Terry had a kind and generous spirit and was loved by everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Debra H. Ethridge of Belden; five children, Frankie Keith (Becca), Brandy Deloach, Amanda Ethridge, Gena Leming (Billy), Terry W. Ethridge (Kendra); brothers, Rick Ethridge (Ellen), Joey Ethridge (Sherry), Danny Ethridge (Deborah), and Mike Ethridge (Olga); sisters, Kathy Jones (John) and Sissy Ethridge; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, plus another great-grandchild due soon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Pegues, Tupelo and will continue on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. A celebration of Terry’s life will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Bro. Tim Hall and Bro. Don Adcox officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Nix, Shaun Martin, Steven Clark, Glen McDonald, Joseph Coleman, and Chase Thrasher.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Keith and Danny Holt.
