Obituary of Terry Clark Terry Kent Clark, 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his residence.

His family will be receiving friends and family at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10 until 11 a.m., with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., at the Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, with burial at Curry Cemetery.

Terry was the baby of 8 children of Edgar and Velma Clark of Walker County. He graduated from Walker County High School in 1959. He worked in Birmingham and later in Bessemer with Flowers Baking Company. He worked as a route salesman as well as in a supervisory position. He and his wife Elsie married in 1964. Terry loved drawing house plans and building houses for his family. He also loved woodworking, designing and building a pie safe, table and bench, as well as a curio cabinet for his wife. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. He served as an elder at the Skyline Drive Church of Christ in the late 80’s until he and his family moved to Gardendale where he was a member at Gardendale Church of Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

He is preceded by his son, Terry L Clark; grandson, Phillip Kent Clark II; parents, Edgar and Velma Clark, and sisters, Martha Niblack, Kathryn Williams, Sue Tubbs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elsie Sullivan Clark; children, Phillip Kent Clark of Paden City, WV and Anthony Brian Clark of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Hannah Clark, Brenna Clark, Hayden Clark (Conner) and Haley Clark Massner (Drew); brothers, Hal Clark, Earnest Clark and Jerry Clark; great grandson, Brody Clark; sister, Peggy Estes and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
