Terry Evans Alley was born September 16, 1952 in Clifton TN to the union of the late Vernon Elmo “Johnny” and Mary Alice Evans Alley. Mr. Alley spent his childhood in the Clifton area, becoming involved in the community. He supported his family working as an equipment operator and was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 1369. He was also a member of the Clifton Masonic Lodge #173. His family will fondly remember his love for the western channel, tinkering with his tractor, cooking, watching drag racing, and spending time outdoors. While spending time outdoors, he loved to fish, especially fishing for what he called the best tasting, Crappie. Mr. Alley was proud to be a member of the Clifton Church of Christ. His greatest past-time was spending time with his family, friends, and those he loved. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in Clifton, TN at the age of 72 years and 10 days.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Shannon Cummins of Savannah, TN; Misty Eaton; and Terra Loftis husband Allen both of Clifton, TN; Luke Gladwin and wife Melissa of Seymour, TN; three sisters, Ruth Ann Howard and husband Bill; Nancy Warren; and Nina Rose all of Clifton, sister-in-law Dean Alley all of Clifton, TN; brother-in-law Billy York of KY; 8 grandchildren, Wesley Cummins, Shanna Cummins, Cody Eaton, Chase Eaton, Gage Loftis, Zach Callow and wife BreAnna, Courtney Callow, and Jacob Callow. Three great grandchildren, Luca Callow, Asher Callow, and Jameson Callow. He is also survived by his dachshund, Festus.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Alley is preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Alley, one sister Linda York, and one brother-in-law Gary Warren.

Visitation with the Alley family will be on Saturday from 11:00 am until service time at 3:00 PM at Clifton Church of Christ

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Clifton Church of Christ with Tracy Love officiating. Burial will follow in the Clifton Cemetery.
