Terry Ashley, age 70 of Estill Springs, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 22, 1954, in Harvey, Illinois, to the late Joe A. and Rreta N. (Hess) Ashley. Terry enjoyed woodworking and made a career as an accomplished cabinet maker. He loved to play music and could be found regularly playing the piano or guitar. Alot of the time, Terry would accompany his sons and grandsons, but he also loved to hear his granddaughter sing. He loved the Lord and was a long-time member of Winchester Free Holiness Church. His family was his whole world, and he loved them unconditionally. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Pansy and Homer Land; and sister, Darlene Ashley. Terry is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Gayle Ashley; son, Kevin (Aimee) Ashley; grandsons, Jordan (Abby) Ashley, Carter Ashley, and Talon Ashley; great-grandsons, Cullen, Silas, and Flint; brother, Eric Ashley; sisters, Drue (Bill) McManes, Joanna (Jose) DeJesus; several nieces and nephews; and lots of friends. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home and from 12-2 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Winchester Free Holiness Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Winchester Free Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Winchester Free Holiness Church Cemetery.
