Mr. Terrell Venson Crews was born June 20, 1936 in Wayne County, TN  to the union of the late Vernon Von “Jack” and Marion Temperance Cole Crews. He was united in marriage to the former Connie Kirk on December 12, 1954 at the Foote Street Church of Christ in Corinth, MS. Mrs. Crews preceded him in death on June 1, 2024. He was a faithful member of the Wayne Furnace Church of Christ, where he served as an elder. He loved to spend time with his family, watch Tennessee Football, Wayne County Football, and loved sports in general. He was an avid baseball player in his youth and many will remember him coaching Little League. No doubt, most will remember the pristinely kept garden in which he took great pride and was a reminder of the work ethic he demonstrated.  Mr. Crews passed from this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 4 days.

Survivors include his children, Terry Crews and wife Regina of St. Albans, MO; Sherry Nutt and husband Butch; Cary Crews and wife Cassondra both of Waynesboro, TN; two brothers, Joe Crews of Waynesboro, TN; Ted Crews and wife Glenda of Muscle Shoals, AL; He is also survived by five grandchildren who lovingly called him Granddaddy, Kirk Crews and wife Mendy, Kyle Crews and wife Brandi, Kimberly Dodd and husband Nick, Lance Nutt and wife Courtney, Cade Crews; and his twelve great grandchildren, Casey Crews, Claire Crews, Bailey Crews, Sadie Crews, Crosby Crews, Daniel Dodd, Crews Dodd, Connor Dodd, Baylor Dodd, Cooper Nutt, Bennett Nutt and Lyla Nutt.

In addition to his parents and his wife of almost 70 years, Connie Kirk Crews, he was preceded in death by one brother, Van Crews; three sisters, Mary Ann Shelton, Sallie Meredith and Rebecca Ray.

Visitation with the Crews family will be on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM all at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ with Cary Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Shields Cemetery.

The family has requested in Lieu of Flowers donations be given to the Christian Education Fund at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ, the L.E. Kirk Preacher Training F
