Terrell Blanton Walton, 76. of Oakman, Passed away, Friday, November 10, 2023 at his residence.
Family will be receiving friends on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 12 until 1 pm at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 1 pm with burial at Day Cemetery. Kevin Stanford will officiate.
When Terrell graduated high school, he and Linda married, shortly after he was drafted into the army. He served in Germany, then came back in the states and served at Fort Lewis Washington, where his family joined him. After serving in the army he went to work for Southern Railway, he retired from there with 40 years of service. His hobbies included coaching little league baseball, playing golf, and last but not least Alabama football. His great loves were his son Michael and his two grandchildren, Nathan and Katie Grace. He also loved his church family at Oakman Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Willadean Walton; In-laws, Boyd and Clara Sartin.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Walton; son, Michael Walton (Mona); grandchildren, Nathan Walton and Katie Grace Walton, brother, Billy Walton and sister, Carita Harbin
