A memorial will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 2 p.m., at New Hope at Mt. Ebron Church Double Springs, AL.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Geraldine Colburn Odom and his second wife of 6 years, Cynthia Martin Odom; parents, Will and Blanche Freeman Odom; brothers, Lovis Odom, Cecil Odom, Lewis Odom and Dewey Odom and sister, Annie Mae Gunter.
He is survived by his children, James R. Odom and Malinda Odom Bell of Double Springs; special daughter, Nina Godsey; grandchildren, Tina Baker of Ashridge, Justin Bell (Crystal) of Jasper, Christopher Godsey (Kayla) of Ashridge, Todd Odom (Crystal) of Lynn, Matthew Bell (Brooke) of Jasper, James Bell (Shawna) of Cullman, Kelsei Martin (Mark) of Oxford, Nic Blancas (Kali) of Lynn, Jasper Odom of Jasper, Ray and Dean Smith of Double Springs; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Alta Smith (Lewis) of Thatch; brother, LC Odom (Marveen) of Jasper; sister-in-law, Lowanda Hill of Double Springs and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
