Teresa “Terri” McCarley Johnson, 59, of Killen, Alabama (formerly of Hamilton, Alabama) passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016, after battling bone cancer.

Disabled after years of serving as an OR nurse, a career she greatly loved, she continued to find ways to help those with various needs throughout her life.

She gave her heart to the Lord in November, 1985, which began a deep abiding faith in Jesus as her Savior, which she considered the most important relationship of her life. This also began a desire to help the nation of Israel which she did by supporting various pro American-Israeli humanitarian causes.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Rose Yielding McCarley and Horace McCarley of Hamilton, as well as grandparents Wesley and Lorene Yielding and Hubert and Erlou McCarley.

She is survived by her sister, Anne McCarley Shady (Ron), of Killen, as well as aunts and uncles; Cricket and L. O. Boyett and family of Hamilton, Ann Young and family of Hamilton, Judy Jones and family of Sheffield, Wesley Mae Mayfield and family of Russellville, and Gary and Barbara Yeilding of Spruce Pine, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers and a traditional funeral, there will be a celebration service of Terri’s life by family and close friends, whose lives were greatly touched by her.
