Teresa Gayle CarpenterTeresa Gayle Carpenter, 67, passed away Saturday night, December 23, 2023, at her home. She was born July 4, 1956, in Tupelo. She worked as a computer operator for Hickory Hill and United Furniture and later as a babysitter, where she enjoyed a special bond with the children she kept as well as their families. Teresa was an active and devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and sports fan, especially when it came to her favorite teams, the Atlanta Braves and Denver Broncos. Her love for others was evident, but the love she enjoyed being Mimi to her grandson was far beyond love.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 28, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. David Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include two sons, Matt Carpenter (Julie) of Fulton and Jake Carpenter of Leakesville, MS; her grandson, Matthew Blake Carpenter, Jr.; three sisters, Terri Johnson (Steve) of Fulton, Rhonda Johnson of Aberdeen, and Patti Hall of Fulton; an honorary brother, Jimmie Wilson (Kathy) of Fulton; an aunt, Ena Gann of Ft. Mitchell, AL; and a very special friend, Ann Stanford.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Gann Graham; and her grandparents, Howard and Ola Mae Gann.

Pallbearers will be Jimmie Wilson, Steve Johnson, Nelson Wilson, Andrew Johnson, Seth Johnson, and Lynn Moore.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday, December 28, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
