Tennessee Valley Museum of Art Reopens With COVID Safety Guidelines In Place

TUSCUMBIA-Tennessee Valley Museum of Art will reopen to the public Tuesday, June 2, 2020 with COVID19 safety restrictions in place. The museum will reopen with three exhibitions available for viewing: Central Elementary School Student Artwork, The Helen Keller Artshow of Alabama, and the self-titled exhibition from Birmingham artist, Mary Grace Wolnski.  Guests are welcome back into museum galleries upon the consideration of the following procedures :

 

  • Guests will be allowed into the museum in groups of ten or fewer.

  • Galleries will open in fifteen minute increments to accommodate a single flow of traffic through the museum.

  • Masks are strongly encouraged.

  • Social Distancing measures are acknowledged, 6ft. between guests.

  • Please refrain from touching the artworks or display cases. Museum staff will keep common areas and surfaces cleaned and wiped down regularly.

 

Tennessee Valley Museum of Art’s hours will be Monday – Friday, 9AM – 5PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday until further notice.

Tennessee Valley Art Association will resume operations at the Ritz Theatre in August, with the production Smoke on the Mountain August 20-23 directed by Laura Connolly and Andrew Maples followed by Arthur Miller’s All My Sons directed by Mike Green on September 17-20.
