Teman Willis Knight, Jr., 84, Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Visitation will be Thursday, October 10, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Teman Knight, III, and Pastor Scott Livingston officiating. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park.
Teman was a member of Valdosta Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, He was a longtime member of First Baptist church, Bogalusa, LA, serving as Deacon for forty-six years. Teman was a leader of the Royal Ambassadors for thirty years and leader of the Baptismal Committee for forty years. He was a military veteran, serving with the US Navy. Teman worked in various capacities in print shops for forty-seven years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Teman W. Knight, Sr. and Yvone E. Pickard; sisters, Mary Ewell, Mildred Jenkins, Joyce Spillman, and Sarah Hunt.
Teman is survived by his wife, Brenda Lee Knight; children, Dr. Teman Knight, III (Darlana), Denny Knight (Ron), and Shari Knight Terrell (Ben); grandchildren, Jay Knight (Leigh), Alana Robinette (Jake), Frankie Terrell (Cara), and Alex Terrell; and great-grandchildren, Trynaty Larkins, Adam, Wyatt, and Eliana Knight, and Evie and Bennett Robinette.
Pallbearers will be Ben Terrell, Austin Underwood, Denny Knight, Ron Rutherford, Jay Knight, and Jake Robinette.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valdosta Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, or Heritage Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL.
