Teena Kay Crabb Noles, 72, passed away on December 24th, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Martin Crabb and Audie Mescal Crabb; sister, Vicky Keys; and brother, Jim Crabb.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years, Allen Noles; and their children, Matthew Noles (Jamie) and Jenny Strickland (Hayden). Teena has four granddaughters, Abby Strickland, Samantha Strickland, Makenzie Noles, and Mia Noles. She has many nieces and nephews, including Lisa Keys-Mathews and family and Leslie Keys (Clinton Brown), with whom she was especially close. She also loved the whole Dan Beene family.
Teena is a graduate of Muscle Shoals High School and the University of North Alabama. Teena started her career in education at Sheffield City Schools in 1973. She ultimately retired from Muscle Shoals City Schools in 2005 after her 30-year career as a Chemistry and Physics teacher. She never missed an opportunity to share her passion for science with her granddaughters. Her love for teaching carried over into her Christian faith as she taught Sunday School at Highland Park Baptist Church for over 20 years.
Upon retirement, Teena and Allen were able to fully embrace their shared love of travel by visiting 48 of the 50 states, various countries, and countless trips to Disney World as Annual Passholders. Teena especially enjoyed planning her annual family trip to the beach, cooking and entertaining for family and friends, tending to her beautiful backyard, and reading with her book club. As anyone who knew her would know, Teena had a knack for planning and organizing, especially on legal pads. She loved sharing these passions with the many friends and close couples that she and Allen spent time with.
Teena played an ever-present role in her granddaughters’ lives as she jumped at the opportunity to support her grands at numerous events whether it be dance, cheer, volleyball, plays, or even in Abby’s classroom. She made an impact on countless lives and was loved by everyone that had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation will be held on December 28th, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, at Highland Park Baptist Church, with a service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Muscle Shoals Education Foundation.
