Teddy Woodrow May Profile PhotoTeddy Woodrow May, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, at his residence in Humboldt, TN. He was 76 years old.

He was born on July 31, 1947, in Jackson, TN the son of the late Sherley Woodrow and Wilma Catherine Grisham May.

Teddy led a remarkable life filled with love for his family and faith. He adored watching western movies, especially those featuring John Wayne. The great outdoors held a special place in his heart as he found solace in the mountains. Above all, Teddy was known for his deep-rooted faith as a Godly man.

A successful self-employed businessman, Teddy’s proudest accomplishment was building a thriving career while also prioritizing time with his loved ones. His dedication to providing for his family knew no bounds.

Teddy will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Jackie May; his daughters, Catherine Elizabeth “Beth” May (Adam Moore) and Angela Hill (David); his son, Charlie Estes (Jessica); his brother Jim May; his sister Melinda Ferguson; along with numerous grandchildren including Mina Garrett (Cody), Addison DeBord, Hayden, Gabe, Audrey, Ty Polinski and Brooklyn Polinski, and Avrie Estes.

The memories Teddy leaves behind will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness and warmth.

Services to honor and celebrate Teddy’s life will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Homelife Academy, 3563 North Highland Ave. Jackson, TN, with Bro. Wade Cash, Michael Gilley and Larry Tolley officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Bluff Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, March 29, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at Homelife Academy.

The family is requesting that memorial contribution be directed to Bible and Literature Missionary Foundation, 2101 Highway 231 South Shelbyville, TN 37160, 931.684.0304.
