Teddy Dunaway was born October 20, 1952 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late James Marshall and Maggie Ruth Hicks Dunaway. He departed this life on May 4, 2016 at his home in Selmer at the age of 63 Years, 6 Months, 14 Days.
Teddy was a mechanic. He worked for several years at Hollingsworth Texaco in Adamsville, TN. His family said he was quote “one of a kind” and was loved by all who knew him. Teddy loved the Lord and was always thankful for His saving and delivering him from difficult circumstances.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hipps Dunaway; four stepdaughters, Patsy Rickman of Adamsville, Linda Aldridge and husband Mike of Memphis, TN, Patricia Vandiver and husband Don of Adamsville; Doris Austin of Selmer; a stepson, Kenneth Rickman and wife Melissa of Adamsville; three sisters, Reba Spellings and husband George of Muscle Shoals, AL, Brenda Jordan and husband Staton of Henderson, TN, Patricia Morales and husband Tim of Stanton, TN; two brothers, Eugene Dunaway and wife Joyce of Selmer, TN, Jerry Dunaway and wife Barbara of Selmer, TN; Several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dunaway was preceded in death by a stepson, Jeff Rickman.
