Ted Edward Nave, 79, passed away peacefully at his home on October 12th, 2024, in Athens, Alabama.

Born on November 12th, 1944, Ted grew up in the Reid/Tanner community and remained a resident of Limestone County for most of his life. He thoroughly enjoyed gardening every year and looked forward to sharing his harvest. Later in his life, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and now is fully restored in Heaven.

He is survived by his four children, Sharon Porter (Steven), Shawn Hazlewood (Monte), Sabrina Adams (Chad), and Chad Nave (Debbie). His grandchildren, Jade Adams, Justin Swinney (Whitney), Patrick Cassidy, and Columbia Young (Kaleb), and great-grandchildren, Silas Chandler, Kinley and Morgan Swinney and Mack Young. Ted also leaves behind his brother Clayton Nave, and sister Georgie Brazier (Betty Lou).

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, George Alin and Rossie Roberts Nave; his brothers, James Nave, Oliver Alin Nave (Bud), Cecil Nave, and George Alin Nave (Junior); and sisters, Eva Chandler, Evelyn Davis, and Merle Green. His grandchild, Kristen Swinney Chandler, also preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be held Thursday October 17th, 2024, at 2pm at Sunny Hill Cemetery, 13745 Reid Rd., Athens, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Limestone County.
