Tammy Joy Rodgers, 61, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She wholeheartedly and fiercely loved her family. She took care of everyone around her. She was an avid fisherwoman – you could often find her on the lake or river bed out-fishing everyone around her. She spent her life raising her five boys and loving their families. On September 6, 1983, she married Tony Rodgers, her soulmate. They spent 40 years building a beautiful life together.

She is survived by her husband, Tony of Auburn; her children and families, Jason Underwood (Merri), Anthony Underwood (Tara), Brandon Rodgers (Michelle), Cory, and Bradley Rodgers; grandchildren, Shelby and Max Underwood, Blaine and Alex Oliver, Austin and Annlyn Rodgers; and one great-grandchild, Maddelin Newell; her father, C.A. Watts, and one brother, Tommy Watts (Alicia), and their sons, T.J. and Nathan; a host of friends and other family members.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Pat Duvall; stepfather, Al Duvall; nephew, Jamie Guin, and niece, Julie Watts; and special friend, Sue Fortune.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023 at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo Chapel with her brother, Tommy Watts officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 PM Sunday and continue until service time at 2 PM. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.

A special thank you to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for providing compassionate care in the last few weeks, especially Emilee and Abby.
