Tammie Lynn Easterling Wilson died at 1:53 AM on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 at NMMC. She was 62 years old. Tammie was born in Pontotoc Co. on Jan. 2, 1962 to Jane Walls Mattox and Quinton Easterling. Tammie attended Shannon High School. She married Randal Wilson on Aug. 14, 2008 in Tupelo. Tammy worked early in life in area manufacturing plants including Aircap before becoming disabled. Family was very important to her and she was a doting grandmother to her 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She enjoyed talking to family and friends on her phone, garage sales, buying “things” for her grandchildren and riding the back roads of the area. Tammie was raised a Methodist but later in life was a Southern Baptist.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, (today) Feb. 15, 2024 in the Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Mr. Joe Dye officiating. Visitation begins at 11 AM Thursday (today). Holland Funeral Directors –Tupelo is honored to be serving their friends. Tammie is survived by her husband, Randal “Randy” Wilson of Tupelo; 2 sons, Donald Easterling (Kristal) of Sherman and Wesley Wilson (Brandy) of Baldwyn; a daughter Chanda Wilson of Baldwyn; a sister, Roxanne Rogers (Mike) of Brewer and a brother, Eddie Mattox of Rogers, Ark; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and other near relatives and their families. She was preceded in death by mother, Jane Mattox and her dad, Ed Mattox.
