Tamiko Hashimoto Thornton, 91, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016, at her residence in Fulton. She was born March 1, 1925 to the late Genzo and Haru Neshihara. She worked for many years at Blue Bell in Belmont and later in Fulton. She was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Services will be 2:00 pm on Sunday December 18, 2016 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Grammer. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Sat. Dec. 17, 2016 at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sandy Springs Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with assisting the family.

Survivors include her Daughters: Diane Aron of Fulton, Bonnie Shumpert of Lafayette, LA, and Susan (Kerry) Deshotels of Lafayette, LA; Sons: Tony (Deborah) Thornton of Nashville, TN, and Michael (Diana) Thornton of Peoria, IL; Granddaughter, Jordan (Vernon) Benson; Grandsons: Brent (Stephanie) Thornton, Shawn Aron, Hunter Thornton, and Max Thornton; Great-grandson, Nate Shumpert; Great-granddaughters: Sadie Thornton, and Annalise Aron; Sister, Junko Kihara of HI.

Preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Verlon Thornton.

Pallbearers are Brent Thornton, Shawn Aron, Hunter Thornton, Max Thornton, Kerry Deshotels, and Dan Farrar.
