T. Harry Newton – Obituary

T. Harry Newton, of Canyon Lake, Texas, passed away after a brief illness, on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the age of 78. Harry was born on Dec. 8, 1937, in Florence, Alabama to Baxter P. and Esther L. Newton. Harry was the youngest of five children. He married his wife Patricia on Feb. 8, 1976. They enjoyed traveling together in their motorhome all over the U.S. They also visited many places around the world. Places such as, Europe, South America, and Greece. Harry served his country with honor and retired from the U.S. Airforce. He later worked for Motorola for many years and retired there as a Quality Control Technician.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nita Ann Bradley; wife of 33 years, Patricia Newton; and three sisters, Glenda N. Sharp, Gloria N. Cole, and Anita N. Hensley.
He is survived by his brother, Ronald B. Newton and wife Wilma, of DeKalb, Texas.; stepdaughter, Donna Benham and husband Bo, of Decatur Texas; three granddaughters, Rhiannon Waddell, of Salpillo, Mississippi., Christina Bradley and Autumn Bradley, both of Florence, Alabama; two stepgrandsons, Michael R. Cuffia and wife Jamie, of North Richland Hills, Texas., and Robert E. Cuffia and wife An-gie, of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Harry had 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas, from noon to 2 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home. The burial will take place on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Ross Cemetery in Baird, Texas at 1 p.m.
