Sylvia Marie Williams, age 77 of Cordova, received her heavenly crown on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.
She was born in West Virginia, the youngest child of Lamir Blair Sr. and Sylvia Blair. For more than 50 years, she faithfully served Jesus in local Church of God congregations. She taught Sunday School for many years at Cordova Church of God. Her final church home was at Highway 5 Church of God. Her quiet yet steadfast faith carried her through many struggles, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her savior.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Bro. Richard Harbin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Matthew Williams, Ricky Blair, Jimmy Blair, Doug Blair, Jerry Blair, and Zac Cohron
Marie was a devoted wife to Charles, her husband of nearly 62 years, as well as being a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her Parents-Lamir Blair Sr. and Sylvia Blair; Brothers-Ronald Allen, Victor Blair, and Lamir Blair Jr.; Granddaughter-Jessica Williams; Son-in-law-Rocky Williams; Nephew-Ronnie Blair.
She is survived by her Husband-Charles Williams; Daughter-Gloria Williams; Grandchildren-Jennifer Cohron (Zac) and Matthew Williams; Great Grandson-Noah Cohron; Seven Nephews; and her church family and friends.
